Fireworks CS4 - The Ninjas get a sniff
Follow up:
What tools do the Ninjas use when they blow up the web design world? Fireworks is the answer. When Adobe bought Macromedia, Fireworks where one of many app's that got acquired and rebranded. And the CS3 version is the first version of FW as an Adobe application. Thus it finally started to play nice with with Adobes app's when the Creative Suite 3 got released.
But FW is really version 9, and in CS4 it goes to version 10. So what do you get in the next suite? The most obvious changes is better integration with Photoshop, Flash, Dreamveawer and more. But I'm not here to tell you the obvious.
The most noticeable difference you'll see when you fire it up, is that they have made major changes to the workspace layout.
In the CS3 version of Fireworks, the panels are arranged like in Dreamveawer CS3. The have changed that in CS4 to match Adobe Illustrator CS3's way of laying out the workspace.

You just have to wait and see.
Anyhow, it is in version 10 now. They can't change it too much, without making it more like their other products, old and new.
One of the big news in the CS4 package are Thermo. Thermo is like Fireworks, but fueled up with a designer version of Flex. It make sit easy for designers to create RIA's.
We will release new information about Thermo as it occurs. But right now we can't :(
If you do not own CS3, it will be a 30 day trial. If you own CS3, you can use it until the new version is released.
