Ninja Loader Now Available
Follow up:
Ninja loader is a Joomla module that loads any div you want (with it's children) into the div you want.
The result? A site where you wont have to leave the page to register, where you can see what items you have in your shopping cart and so on.
The only limits is your imagination.
When we started on this small project, we had no idea how powerful this extension really is. You can do almost everything with it.
Why do we still need to reload the page to just read small amounts of information? Wouldn't it be more user friendly if only the new content was loaded to the page?
Well, that's called AJAX.
What do we call AJAX that is simplified and easy for anyone to use on their own site? Ninja Loader.
What happens if an user that browse without javascript click the link then you ask? Well, what happens if Ninja Loader isn't installed? Exactly.
All you need to do is this:
- Create the links you want "AJAX"-ed.
- Install Ninja Loader.
- Define the class or ID for the links you want Ninja Loader to control.
- Define the ID of the div you want to load.
- Publish the module.
- Enjoy AJAX the Ninja way!
What happens if an user that browse without javascript click the link then you ask? Well, what happens if Ninja Loader isn't installed on your site? You expect to be taken to the page linked to like the old days, and that's what happens.

Would someone be able to explain to me if Ninja Loader could achieve the following:
When a user first comes the home page of my Joomla site, a window (not a separate browser window) loads over the page and asks the user to either leave or enter the site. If the user clicks 'Leave' then they are directed to, say, Google, but if they click 'Enter' the window closes to reveal the home page.
They would only be asked once, based on a cookie.
Is this possible?

If the window is a modal box, you would have to chain the close function with the loader to close the window and at the same time load the site.
In other words you would have to hire someone to write a custom script for it.
