Ninja Shadowbox 2.0 Now Official Online

Today we published two new extensions [1] and [2]. Both are upgraded version of our well known Ninja Shadowbox 1.4 Module and Plugin. I added multi language support for front and back end (33 Shadowbox and 3 admin languages), the new Shadowbox 2.0 library, new JavaScript frameworks and 4 additional Shadowbox Skins.

So we do now have two more extensions with German language support at the backend. The Danish translation is a contribution by one of our newest members stws, for which we kindly thank him.

Have A Lot Of Fun.

Best Regards
Uwe Walter

Community Chest 3 contained wrong packages

A friendly note by one of our members brought to my attention that the Community Chest 3 contained the wrong packages. The initially published package was one of our test files we used during beta testing of our new component Ninja Extension central. I repackaged it, but forgot about the PHP option upload_max_filesize, i.e. the Community Chest 3 was too big and was not saved correctly.

I did now split Chest 3 into two packages [1] and. [2], that fit the max upload size.
My apologies to all our members that downloaded the wrong packaged Community Chest.

Ninja Super Submit Security Fix

turifungia, one of our community members kindly submitted an access permission vulnerability in Ninja Super Submit. The component did not sanitize the passed in variable Itemid.

This is not really a security leak, because the administrator of a site can configure, if a user group is permitted to automatic publish submitted content. But if the component menu entry was set to any user group above 'Public', the component did not check permissions. While fixing this issue I also added NinjACL compatibility.

We've to thank you very much for your report turifungia.

Notes:
Users who already have the release candidate 2 installed, only need to replace one file.

All other versions have to be reinstalled, because in RC2 have been made important changes!

Ninja Wedding Bells

Image of Dan and Kyoko at their Wedding

A few people have been wondering where I am recently.

Just to let you know that I haven't fallen under a truck but have instead been off getting married and looking after my visiting family.

I will fill in some more details later, but wanted to show off this great picture from Chris our artists. It was his wedding present to my wife and I.
